Review of the forensic provisions of the Mental Health Act 1990 & the Mental Health (Criminal Procedures) Act 1990
The Government has appointed the Hon Greg James Q.C., President of the Mental Health Review Tribunal to chair a Task Force to consider reforms to the provisions of the Mental Health Act, 1990 and also to consider the Mental Health (Criminal Procedures) Act 1990.
A Consultation Paper has been prepared to promote community discussion on the future of the forensic mental health system in NSW.
The Final Report has now been published and is available online.
